It connects directly to the high bay's sensor port, making it a practical upgrade for warehouses, workshops and logistics halls where energy savings through occupancy control are a priority.

Why choose the RC200 sensor

Running high bay lighting continuously in spaces with variable occupancy is one of the most avoidable energy costs in a commercial or industrial building. The RC200 addresses this by combining microwave presence detection with a daylight sensor in a single plug-in unit, so the high bay dims or switches off automatically when the space is empty or when natural light is sufficient — no additional wiring or control panels required.

Ease of installation: The RC200 plugs directly into the dedicated sensor port on compatible UFO high bays, meaning no electrician is needed to modify the luminaire or the circuit.

Dual detection: Microwave radar detects movement through racking, partitions and slow-moving personnel more reliably than passive infrared, reducing false switch-offs in active industrial environments.

Daylight harvesting: The integrated daylight sensor prevents the high bay from switching on when ambient light levels are already adequate, compounding the energy savings beyond simple occupancy control.

Compatibility: Designed to work with Clightstore's UFO high bay range, the RC200 is a factory-matched accessory that preserves the luminaire's 5-year warranty.

Where to use it

The RC200 is well suited to warehouses, distribution centres, manufacturing halls and sports facilities where occupancy is intermittent or follows shift patterns. It is equally useful in loading bays and storage areas with roof lights or skylights, where daylight harvesting delivers the most measurable benefit. Any space where high bays would otherwise run unattended for extended periods is a strong candidate.

What the specifications mean in practice

Microwave detection: Radar-based sensing penetrates shelving and light partitions, so personnel moving slowly through aisles are still detected and the light stays on.

Daylight sensor: Measures ambient lux at ceiling level and suppresses the high bay when natural light is sufficient, avoiding unnecessary runtime during daylit hours.

Plug-in connection: Mates with the sensor port on compatible UFO high bays, requiring no tools or cable terminations beyond inserting the connector.

Automatic dim-to-off or standby: After the set hold time elapses with no detected movement, the high bay dims to a standby level or switches off entirely, depending on the high bay's driver configuration.

Factory-matched accessory: Supplied and tested alongside the luminaire range, so sensor behaviour is calibrated for the high bay's driver and optics rather than being a generic aftermarket addition.

Installation and compatibility

The RC200 inserts into the sensor port on compatible Clightstore UFO high bays and requires no additional wiring. Sensitivity and hold-time adjustment is accessible on the unit itself. Confirm high bay compatibility before ordering. Clightstore provides a free DIALux light study that can incorporate sensor zoning to help plan coverage and switching groups.

Frequently asked questions

<details>
Which UFO high bays is the RC200 compatible with?

The RC200 is designed for Clightstore UFO high bays fitted with a dedicated sensor port.
