Why choose the Round LED Surface Spotlight 12W

At under €8, this fitting offers a straightforward upgrade from older halogen surface lights without any ceiling cutting or complex wiring. The 19mm-slim aluminium body sits flush against the ceiling, the 4000K output keeps spaces feeling bright and neutral, and the 30,000-hour rated lifespan means years of maintenance-free use in everyday residential and light commercial settings.

• Running cost: At 12W replacing 50W, you cut the energy draw of each fitting by 76%, which adds up quickly across a corridor or multi-room installation.
• Light quality: A CRI Ra>80 ensures colours — wall finishes, flooring, furnishings — read accurately under the fitting without the yellow cast of older lamps.
• Build: The white-painted aluminium housing dissipates heat efficiently, protecting the LED module and keeping the rated lifespan on track.
• Warranty: A 3-year warranty covers the complete fitting, giving installers and end users a clear guarantee without relying on a separate driver warranty.

Where to use it

This spotlight is well suited to hallways, entrance areas, stairwells, utility rooms and residential living spaces where surface mounting is preferred over recessed installation. At 960 lm with a 60° beam, a single fitting covers a small room or corridor section effectively. For open-plan areas or longer corridors, spacing fittings at 2–3 metre intervals maintains comfortable, even illumination without dark patches.

What the specifications mean in practice

• 960 lm / 80 lm/W: You get the light output of a 50W halogen from a 12W fitting — adequate for general circulation and ambient lighting in rooms up to roughly 10–12 m².
• 4000K: Neutral white sits between warm domestic light and cool office light, making it a practical choice for hallways and utility spaces where clarity matters without feeling clinical.
• 60° beam angle: A moderately focused beam concentrates light downward, reducing spill onto walls and making it efficient for corridor and task-adjacent applications.
• IP41: Protected against solid objects larger than 1mm and dripping water falling vertically — suitable for indoor use including bathrooms only if water exposure is minimal and indirect; not rated for wet zones or outdoor use.
• 30,000 hours: At eight hours of use per day, the fitting runs for over ten years before reaching its rated end-of-life, keeping replacement and maintenance costs low.

Installation and compatibility

The fitting surface-mounts directly to a standard ceiling backbox or flat surface using the integrated base — no cutting required. It connects to a standard 200–240V AC supply and operates on/off only; dimming is not supported. Clightstore can provide a free DIALux light study to confirm spacing and lux levels before you order.
