Why choose the LED Floodlight 200W

This 200W floodlight sits in a practical middle ground: powerful enough to illuminate a full football pitch end-zone or a large logistics yard, yet compact and efficient enough to keep energy bills and maintenance costs firmly under control. The Sosen driver, die-cast aluminium housing and five-year warranty give facility managers and installers the confidence to specify it without compromise.

• Efficiency: At 170 lm/W, this fitting cuts energy consumption by roughly 75% compared with the 800W sources it replaces, reducing running costs from day one.
• Build quality: The die-cast aluminium body dissipates heat effectively and withstands operating temperatures from -40°C to 50°C, making it equally suited to cold-store exteriors and sun-exposed facades.
• Driver reliability: The Sosen driver carries full OCP, OTP, OVP and SCP protection, accepts 100–277V at 50/60Hz, and is backed by Clightstore's five-year warranty.
• Weatherproofing: IP66 certification means the fitting is fully dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets, so it can be installed in exposed outdoor locations without additional enclosures.

Where to use it

The 200W output and P45 beam angle make this floodlight well suited to football pitches, rugby grounds and athletics tracks where even, directed illumination is needed at mounting heights of 8–15 metres. It also performs reliably in car parks, logistics yards, building perimeters, construction sites and large warehouse exteriors where a robust, high-lumen LED floodlight is required without the maintenance burden of discharge lamps.

What the specifications mean in practice

• 170 lm/W: For every watt consumed you receive 170 lumens of usable light, translating directly into lower electricity bills and a faster return on investment compared with older discharge technology.
• 34,000 lm: Total output equivalent to an 800W metal halide fitting, providing sufficient illumination for large outdoor areas without needing multiple lower-power units.
• IP66: The housing is fully sealed against dust ingress and resists high-pressure water jets, allowing permanent outdoor installation in rain, snow and wash-down environments.
• 4000K: Neutral white light renders surfaces clearly and supports good visibility for both players and cameras on sports pitches, while remaining comfortable for general outdoor work areas.
• 50,000 hours: At eight hours of use per day, this equates to over 17 years of service life, dramatically reducing lamp-replacement costs and access-equipment hire at height.

Installation and compatibility

The fitting arrives with a 1 m cable pre-attached and mounts via its adjustable bracket to poles, walls or masts. The Sosen driver accepts 100–277V, making it compatible across EU electrical installations without modification. Dimming options and exact aiming angles should be confirmed at the design stage. Clightstore provides a free DIALux light study to determine the correct number of fittings and mounting positions for your site.
