Why choose the Surface-Mount Frame 30×30

Recessing a panel is not always an option — suspended ceilings may be absent, concrete soffits may be in the way, or a tenant fit-out simply cannot involve structural work. This aluminium frame solves that problem cleanly: it sits flush against the ceiling, holds the panel securely, and leaves no visible fixings or raw edges. The result looks intentional rather than improvised, which matters in client-facing spaces.

• Compatibility: Designed specifically for 30×30 cm edgelit LED panels, so the panel drops in without adapters or modification.
• Build quality: White-painted aluminium construction resists warping and discolouration over years of continuous use, unlike plastic alternatives.
• Installation speed: Four ceiling fixings and a simple clip-in mechanism mean a single installer can complete the job without specialist tools.
• Aesthetics: The slim white profile blends with standard ceiling finishes, keeping the focus on the light rather than the fitting.

Where to use it

This frame is suited to any interior where a 30×30 cm LED panel is needed but a recessed ceiling is unavailable or impractical. Typical locations include open-plan offices, GP and dental practices, pharmacies, school classrooms, server rooms with solid ceilings, and retail stockrooms. It is equally useful in renovation projects where existing wiring positions dictate panel placement rather than ceiling grid layout.

What the specifications mean in practice

• 30×30 cm format: Matches the standard small-format panel size, so the frame works with the full range of 30×30 edgelit panels without any cutting or shimming.
• Edgelit model: The frame's internal rebate depth is calibrated for the slim profile of edgelit panels, ensuring a flush, rattle-free fit.
• Aluminium construction: Aluminium dissipates any incidental heat from the panel driver more effectively than plastic, and will not yellow or crack over time.
• White finish: Matches standard RAL 9016 ceiling and wall colours, making the installation visually consistent with recessed panels in the same space.
• Surface-mount design: No ceiling void is required, so the frame can be used on poured concrete, timber joists or any solid substrate with standard M4 fixings.

Installation and compatibility

Fix the frame to the ceiling using four screws through the pre-drilled mounting holes, feed the panel's driver cable through the rear aperture, connect to a standard 230 V supply, and clip the panel into place. No additional accessories are required. Clightstore provides a free DIALux light study to confirm panel spacing and quantity before you order.
