Beskrivning

Why use a 60° lens

The standard 90° or 120° optic spreads light over a wide area, which suits lower ceilings. At greater mounting heights much of that light ends up on walls and racking instead of on the floor. A 60° lens focuses the same light output into a tighter cone, so more of it reaches the working plane.

  • Higher illuminance below the fitting: the narrower beam puts more lux on the floor at mounting heights from around 8 metres.
  • Ideal for aisles: light is directed down between the racks instead of onto the top shelves.
  • Simple swap: replaces the existing optic of a compatible UFO high bay, no rewiring needed.
  • Polycarbonate: impact-resistant PC optic designed for industrial environments.

Frequently asked questions

When should I choose a 60° lens?

Choose 60° for mounting heights from around 8 metres or for narrow racking aisles. For lower ceilings or open areas, the standard 90° or 120° optic usually gives a more even result. A free DIALux light study confirms the best choice for your space.

Does the lens change the power or efficacy of the fitting?

No. The lens only changes how the light is distributed. Power and luminous efficacy stay the same; more of the light simply lands on the area directly below the fitting.
