How the calculation works
Energy saved per year = number of lamps × (current wattage − LED wattage) × burning hours per day × operating days per year ÷ 1,000. Multiplied by your electricity price, this gives your annual cost savings. The payback period is the LED investment divided by those annual savings. For CO₂ we use 0.38 kg per kWh, the average European electricity mix.

Frequently asked questions
How much can I save with LED lighting?
In halls and warehouses usually 50 to 70% of the lighting energy. Replacing metal halide or sodium lamps saves even more, because LED needs no ballast and can be dimmed or combined with motion sensors.
Which electricity price should I enter?
Use the all-in price per kWh from your energy bill, including network costs and taxes. Businesses in Europe usually pay between 0.15 and 0.35 euros per kWh.
How long do your LED luminaires last?
Our LED luminaires are rated for 50,000 to 100,000 burning hours and come with up to 5 years of warranty.
Are there subsidies for switching to LED?
In many countries and regions, yes. The conditions differ per country, so check with your local energy agency. We supply the technical data sheets you need for your application.
