Description
Why choose the 0-10V Dimming Box
Many LED drivers support 0-10V dimming out of the box, yet the control side of the installation is often an afterthought. This compact white unit bridges a standard wall switch or building-management signal to the dimming input of your driver, covering loads up to 800W on a single circuit. At under €40 it removes any reason to leave a dimmable driver running at full output when the application calls for flexibility.
- Compatibility: Works with any LED driver carrying a 0-10V dimming input, including Philips, Meanwell, Lifud and Sosen — the drivers used across the Clightstore range.
- Capacity: A single unit manages up to 800W of connected LED load, covering most small-to-medium zones without the need for additional relay modules.
- Simplicity: Analogue 0-10V control requires no programming, no gateway and no specialist commissioning tools — any competent electrician can wire it in minutes.
- Warranty: Backed by Clightstore's 5-year warranty, giving contractors and facility managers the same long-term cover as the luminaires themselves.
Where to use it
The 0-10V Dimming Box suits any commercial or industrial space where basic dimming is required without the complexity of DALI or smart controls: open-plan offices with LED panels, warehouses using dimmable high bays, retail back-of-house areas, sports changing rooms and school classrooms. It is equally useful for retrofit projects where existing wiring already carries a 0-10V signal from a building-management system.
What the specifications mean in practice
- 0-10V control signal: The industry-standard analogue protocol — 0V corresponds to minimum dim level and 10V to full output, giving smooth, predictable dimming across the entire range.
- 800W maximum load: One box can control, for example, sixteen 50W LED panels or eight 100W high bays on a single dimming circuit before a second unit is needed.
- Low-voltage control wiring: The signal wires carry only milliamps, so they can run alongside mains cables without interference and require no special conduit or shielding in most installations.
- White housing: Designed to sit flush on a wall or inside a surface-mounted enclosure without looking out of place in finished commercial interiors.
- 5-year warranty: Matches the warranty period of Clightstore luminaires, so the entire installation — fitting and control device — is covered under a single support arrangement.
Installation and compatibility
Mount the box on a wall or DIN-rail enclosure and connect the 0-10V output wires directly to the dimming terminals of your LED driver. No neutral is required on the signal side. The unit is compatible with all dimmable drivers in the Clightstore range. Contact Clightstore for a free DIALux light study that includes dimming-zone recommendations for your project.
Frequently asked questions
Will this work with my existing Meanwell or Philips driver?
Yes, provided the driver has a 0-10V dimming input — which is standard on most Meanwell HLG, Philips Xitanium and equivalent Lifud and Sosen models. Check the driver datasheet for the 0-10V terminal label before wiring.
Can I connect more than 800W of LED fittings to one box?
No. For loads above 800W, use a second dimming box on a separate circuit. Each box must stay within its rated capacity to ensure reliable dimming and avoid overloading the control output.
Does the dimming box work with DALI drivers?
No. DALI is a digital protocol and requires a dedicated DALI controller. This unit is designed exclusively for analogue 0-10V dimming inputs. Check your driver's specification to confirm which protocol it supports before ordering.
