Description
Why choose the LED UFO High Bay 200W
Designed for mounting heights between 6 and 12 metres, this 200W UFO high bay combines serious light output with a compact, thermally efficient aluminium housing. The Sosen driver ensures stable performance over the full lifespan, while 1-10V dimming gives facility managers direct control over energy use without additional relay equipment. Five years of warranty cover means lower total cost of ownership from day one.
- Efficiency: At 150 lm/W, this fitting produces 30,000 lumens from 200W — roughly half the energy draw of the metal halide fittings it replaces.
- Light quality: A CRI of Ra>80 ensures colours and surfaces are rendered accurately, which matters in picking operations, quality control and workshop environments.
- Build: The die-cast aluminium housing dissipates heat effectively, protecting the LED array and contributing to a rated lifespan that far exceeds conventional discharge lamps.
- Driver and warranty: The Sosen driver is a proven industrial-grade component, and the 5-year warranty covers the complete fitting — driver included.
Where to use it
The 200W UFO high bay is well suited to warehouses, distribution centres, manufacturing halls, vehicle workshops and sports halls with ceiling heights between 6 and 12 metres. At a 8-metre mounting height with a 90° beam, expect coverage of roughly 25–30 m² per fitting at 300 lux or above, making it straightforward to plan a grid layout for standard industrial lux requirements.
What the specifications mean in practice
- 150 lm/W: Every watt of electricity produces 150 lumens of light — a significant step up from metal halide, which typically delivers 80–100 lm/W at best.
- 5000K: A crisp daylight white that improves alertness and visual clarity in high-activity environments such as production lines, loading bays and sports facilities.
- 90° beam angle: Concentrates light directly below the fitting, making it effective at mounting heights from 6 to 12 metres without excessive spill to adjacent areas.
- CRI Ra>80: Colours and materials appear true to life, which is important wherever staff need to distinguish products, read labels or inspect workpieces.
- 1-10V dimmable: Output can be reduced smoothly from 100% down to approximately 10%, allowing daylight-linked or occupancy-based control with a compatible 1-10V dimmer or building management system.
Installation and compatibility
The fitting ships with a 0.3-metre cable and a standard suspension hook for pendant mounting from a ceiling track or steel cable. Connect the 1-10V signal wires to a compatible controller for dimming. Clightstore provides a free DIALux light study on request, so you can confirm fitting count and spacing before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
What dimming system is compatible with the 1-10V input?
Any standard 1-10V dimming controller or building management system output will work. The fitting dims smoothly from full output down to roughly 10%. Trailing-edge or DALI controllers are not compatible without an additional interface.
How many fittings do I need for my warehouse?
That depends on your ceiling height, required lux level and reflectance values. Clightstore offers a free DIALux light study — share your floor plan and mounting height and we will calculate the exact number of fittings needed.
Does the 5-year warranty cover the Sosen driver as well?
Yes. The warranty covers the complete fitting, including the Sosen driver, for five years from the date of purchase. Clightstore handles warranty claims directly, without routing through a third-party manufacturer.
Which wattage for which ceiling height?
Guide values for a 90° beam angle, measured from the floor to the bottom of the light.
| Mounting height | Wattage | Area per light at 300 lux (storage) | Area per light at 500 lux (production) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3–4 m | 30–60W | ≈ 20 m² | ≈ 10 m² |
| 4–6 m | 70–100W | ≈ 30 m² | ≈ 20 m² |
| 6–8 m | 120–150W | ≈ 45 m² | ≈ 25 m² |
| 8–10 m | 160–200W This light | ≈ 60 m² | ≈ 35 m² |
| 10–12 m | 200–240W | ≈ 70 m² | ≈ 45 m² |
| 12–15 m | 250–300W | ≈ 90 m² | ≈ 55 m² |
Calculated with this light’s efficacy of 150 lm/W in a hall with light-coloured walls. Above 12 m a 60° beam gives better results.
