Round LED Surface Downlight 18W 6000K Daylight White – Ø210mm – 1440 lm – For Hallway & Stairwell – 5-Year Warranty

Why choose the Round LED Surface Downlight 18W

At under €10, this fitting offers a straightforward, no-fuss upgrade for interior circulation spaces where reliable light output and long service life matter more than dimming or colour tuning. The all-aluminium housing keeps heat well managed, the 19mm profile sits flush against any ceiling, and the 5-year warranty removes any financial risk from a bulk installation across a building.

• Running cost: 18W replacing a 100W incandescent fitting cuts energy consumption by 82%, with payback typically within the first year at standard Belgian electricity rates.
• Lifespan: 50,000 hours of rated life means roughly 17 years at eight hours per day, eliminating frequent lamp changes in hard-to-reach stairwells.
• Build quality: The die-cast aluminium body dissipates heat efficiently and resists the minor knocks and humidity fluctuations typical of utility corridors.
• Warranty: A full 5-year warranty is included as standard, covering both the light engine and the on/off driver.

Where to use it

This fitting is sized and specified for interior circulation areas with ceiling heights of 2.4 to 3.5 metres. Typical applications include residential and commercial hallways, stairwells, storage rooms, laundry rooms, basement corridors, and staff welfare areas. The 60° beam angle concentrates light downward, making it effective in narrow passages where wall-to-wall coverage is needed without excessive spacing between fittings.

What the specifications mean in practice

• 6000K: Daylight white colour temperature produces a crisp, alert-feeling light well suited to circulation and safety areas where visibility is the priority rather than warmth.
• 60° beam angle: A relatively tight distribution delivers concentrated illumination directly below the fitting, reducing the number of units needed in a straight corridor.
• IP41: Protected against solid objects larger than 1mm and dripping water falling vertically, making this fitting suitable for indoor use including damp utility rooms, but not bathrooms or outdoor locations.
• UGR<22: Glare is controlled to a level acceptable for corridors and stairwells where occupants pass through rather than work at a fixed task for extended periods.
• 50,000 hours: At eight hours of daily use, the rated lifespan exceeds 17 years, meaning maintenance costs in multi-unit residential or commercial buildings are negligible over the product lifetime.

Installation and compatibility

The fitting surface-mounts directly to a standard ceiling backbox or flat surface using the integrated bracket; no recessed cutout is required. Connection is to 220–240V mains via the built-in on/off driver — no external driver or ballast is needed. Dimming is not supported.
