Round LED Surface Spotlight 12W 3000K Warm White – Ø170mm – 960 lm – For Hallway & Living Areas – 3-Year Warranty

Why choose the Round LED Surface Spotlight 12W

At under €8, this fitting delivers a practical, no-fuss upgrade for any surface-mounted ceiling position. The all-aluminium body keeps heat dissipation reliable over its 30,000-hour lifespan, while the 19mm profile sits almost flush against the ceiling. With a power factor above 0.95, it draws cleanly from the mains and causes no nuisance on shared circuits in apartments or offices.

• Efficiency: 80 lm/W means the 12W fitting produces the same useful light as a 50W halogen, cutting that circuit's energy consumption by 76%.
• Light quality: CRI Ra>80 renders wall colours, furniture and skin tones accurately enough for living rooms, hallways and reception areas.
• Build: The white aluminium housing dissipates heat effectively, protecting the LED module and supporting the full 30,000-hour rated lifespan.
• Simplicity: Surface mounting with standard on/off wiring means no ceiling void is needed and installation takes minutes with basic tools.

Where to use it

This spotlight suits any interior space where ceiling recessing is not possible or practical. Typical locations include hallways, stairwells, utility rooms, small offices, hotel corridors and residential living areas. At a standard 2.4–2.7 metre ceiling height, the 60° beam angle delivers a well-defined pool of light suitable for general ambient illumination rather than task or accent lighting.

What the specifications mean in practice

• 960 lm at 12W: Equivalent output to a 50W halogen bulb, providing comfortable ambient light in rooms up to roughly 10–12 m².
• 3000K: Warm white tone that feels relaxed and domestic, well suited to living rooms, bedrooms and hospitality corridors rather than workspaces.
• 60° beam angle: A moderately focused spread that concentrates light downward, reducing spill onto walls and keeping the ceiling area around the fitting relatively dark.
• IP41: Protected against solid objects larger than 1mm and dripping water falling vertically, making it suitable for indoor use but not for bathrooms, kitchens above sinks, or any outdoor position.
• 30,000 hours: At eight hours of use per day, the fitting runs for over ten years before the LED module reaches end of rated life, minimising replacement costs.

Installation and compatibility

The fitting mounts directly onto a flat ceiling surface using the included backplate and connects to a standard 200–240V AC supply via on/off switching — no dimmer or special driver is required. The 19mm height means it sits neatly against plasterboard or concrete ceilings. Clightstore provides a free DIALux light study to confirm spacing and lux levels before you order.
