Square LED Surface Spotlight 6W 6000K Daylight White – 480 lm – Outer Size 120x120mm – For Hallway & Kitchen – 3-Year Warranty

Why choose the Square LED Surface Spotlight 6W

At 6W with a power factor above 0.9, this fitting draws minimal current while producing enough light for small to medium interior spaces. The square aluminium body sits flush against the ceiling without any recess required, making it straightforward to install in rooms where cutting into the ceiling is not practical or permitted. The 3-year warranty and CE/RoHS certification give buyers confidence in a product priced well below comparable branded alternatives.

• Efficiency: 80 lm/W output means this 6W fitting produces as much usable light as a 40W incandescent bulb while cutting energy consumption by 85%.
• Light quality: CRI Ra>80 ensures colours in kitchens and workspaces are rendered accurately enough for everyday tasks and food preparation.
• Build: The die-cast aluminium body in white dissipates heat effectively, protecting the LED module and contributing to the 30,000-hour rated lifespan.
• Simplicity: Surface-mount installation with standard 220–240V on/off connection means no specialist tools, no driver box, and no ceiling cutout required.

Where to use it

This fitting is well suited to residential and light commercial interiors where surface mounting is preferred over recessed installation. Typical locations include hallways, corridors, kitchens, utility rooms, cloakrooms and small offices. At a mounting height of 2.4–3 metres, the 55° beam angle concentrates light effectively on the working plane below, making it practical for task-oriented spaces rather than wide-area ambient lighting.

What the specifications mean in practice

• 6000K: Daylight white colour temperature produces a cool, bright appearance that promotes alertness — well suited to kitchens and utility areas but less appropriate for bedrooms or relaxation spaces.
• 55° beam angle: A relatively narrow spread concentrates light directly below the fitting, reducing spill to adjacent walls and making each unit effective over a defined work area.
• IP41: Protected against solid objects larger than 1 mm and dripping water falling vertically, suitable for indoor use including kitchens, but not for bathrooms or outdoor installation.
• CRI Ra>80: Colours appear natural and consistent under this fitting, which meets the minimum standard recommended for kitchens, offices and retail display areas.
• 30,000 hours: At eight hours of use per day, this equates to roughly ten years before the LED module reaches end of rated life, significantly reducing replacement frequency.

Installation and compatibility

The fitting mounts directly to any flat ceiling surface using the integrated base plate and connects to a standard 220–240V supply. No external driver box is required. The on/off circuit is not dimmable. Clightstore offers a free DIALux light study to help determine the correct number of fittings and spacing for your specific room dimensions and target lux levels.
